Hardcore in Noord-Korea

I made this for a school project about revolution. Initially I wanted to experiment with "creating a new genre". You can hear three of my poor attempts here: gabber with jazz, drone metal with happy North Korean folk music and finally gabber mixed with the Red Army Choir. My teacher told me that it would be cool if I combined it with a story line. Immediately I had to think about this director who got abducted in Hong Kong and was brought to North Korea. Over there he was ordered to make movies for Kim Jong-il, Pulgasari being the most famous one. This dumb little movie I made is based on that.

The youth is getting obnoxious and disobedient. The punishments and executions aren't helping, the kids just don't give a shit and keep partying. The Great Leader sees only one way to gain back control: he kidnaps a DJ from the Netherlands and forces him to put socialist messages in his music. I wish I had more time to spend on it, I'm happy with the idea though. A lot of shit I've done this year were cool conceptually, but the finishing products kind of blow. That's maybe a good thing, it could motivate me to get better. I should emphasize "could" and add "I never get good at anything, so why even bother?". Anyway, the video is mostly in Dutch. I'm sorry about that. I'm also sorry about everything else.
